You are probably aware of this already, but in case you are not, the Archives and SUNY Albany are hosting a history conference next month:

In 1997 the Governor signed into law legislation that set aside each November as New York State History Month - a time for localities to focus programs, projects and publications on the history of New York State.

We are compiling a list of proposed projects for History Month 2000 that will be hosted on the State Museum's "History Month" website.

If you are planning events and projects in November for History Month 2000, email me the information and we will post it to the website. Send me a 100 word description, the dates when it will occur, and how to get in touch with the project organizers (URL, email, names and addresses). If you have an image that represents the project or event, send that along as well.

The website will go live as soon as we get a half dozen items, and it will be updated between now and November 30th.
