This would be Helen Wilkinson Reynolds' Dutch Houses in the Hudson Valley before 1776, originally published in the early 1930s. Dover has put it out in paper in 1965 and later . Companion to it is Rosalie Fellows Bailey,  Pre-Revolutionary Dutch Houses and Families in Northern New Jersey and Southern New York (Dover, 1968), written at about the same time as Reynolds' book. They both contain considerable information on houses now gone and have a lot of photos. I doubt they have much relevance to stone hopuses in Northern New York.

There are several books on the Dutch House in the Hudson Valley
and Northern New Jersey. One authors name is Reynolds cant think
of her co-authors.
