As the "Hot Dog" is actually a frankfurter, my guess would be that it came
from Frankfurt, Germany. All of the wursts were sold in German Butcher
Shops, here in NY, mainly Brooklyn. Of course, whoever decided to put it in
a roll and smear mustard on it, should be given the credit, I guess :-)
